...And No Carpet Beating On Brandon Hill
Of course if you've ever been to Bristol's Brandon Hill you would know it is incredibly steep and the last thing you would want to lug up there would be a carpet!

#Hong Kong - Anybody answering the call of nature in Hong Kong's back
alleys should be on alert: Big Brother may be watching.
Authorities have installed closed-circuit TV cameras in five
locations. Hong Kong Home Affairs spokesperson Cindy Yu said yesterday
the surveillance has led to the prosecution of 29 people over the past
two months for hygiene offences.
They included six men caught relieving themselves and other people
apprehended washing dishes and dumping trash in areas that are off
limits, the South China Morning Post reported yesterday.
The paper said fines of up to HK$2 000 (about R1 600) had been levied.
Yu said the filming was a "pilot project" that had proven quite useful
and would now be expanded. Officials originally envisioned installing
100 cameras in 18 districts as part of a clean-up campaign in reaction
to last year's SARS crisis, but it's unclear how many more cameras
they will add. - Sapa-AP

Broken Penis
Ouch, one of those nasty things that can happen to a man it seems. Even if you're not interested in reading it at least the adverts on the side should liven up a bit!

To My Audience
As my dear colleague Raj complained about a lack of posts to my blog
here is a gratuitous one purely to satiate him. Of course he could
have tried replying to one of the posts by clicking on the little # at
the bottom but you have to spoon feed the youth of today it seems.

Monkey Business?
Ian Brown was decidedly dodgy tonight playing live on the Jonathan Ross show. Was that a leather Adidas tracksuit top?
I'm sure his new album will be another gem but not a good bet for live tickets for resale on eBay.

Hawaiian Shirt Day
The great day of the Cheyne Capital Hawaiian shirt competition came and went and your humble blogger achieved second place on account of an inflatable parrot on my shoulder whose character I assumed. Of course certain elements tried to buy victory by importing shirts from the USA at a cost of $1,000 but my team's imagination and winning smiles won the competition with a set of shirts bought for a fiver each somewhere off the side of Carnaby Street.

OK OK, I'm still being a bit slow already. My body is still recovering from a relay race at work on Tuesday. For most people a sense of achievement would be got from winning the race, in my case it was got from not pulling any muscles. I seem to have buggered an ankle but otherwise unscathed.

Back to work since Tuesday. House went up for sale last Friday and was sold by the Sunday for the full asking price! Played volleyball on Tuesday, had a good game but knackered myself somewhat. Playing again tonight so expect more knackeredness.
